Cowichan Water Management Information

We're working towards a comprehensive water management plan for the Cowichan River, the source of water for our operation and of drinking water for the community. Crofton Division representatives are part of a multi-stakeholder committee — which includes representatives from First Nations, federal and provincial fisheries agencies, local government and community leaders. The Cowichan Basin Water Management Forum presented a plan in 2007. Catalyst has endorsed this plan and anticipates taking part in its implementation.
