About the Division

Located near Campbell River on Vancouver Island, Elk Falls Division is a world-class, integrated pulp and paper facility that produces newsprint, uncoated ground wood specialty papers, sawdust-based kraft pulp and kraft paper products.

With our own modern deep-sea docking facility, Elk Falls is strategically located to connect to major shipping routes and other transportation networks. This allows us to deliver our products to customers around the world.

Elk Falls began operation in 1952 as a single-line newsprint mill. Today, we have an annual production capacity of 857,000 tonnes of pulp, paper and kraft paper.
