Community Advisory Forum

We try to keep our finger on the pulse of the community of Powell River and operate with local concerns in mind. To help us do this, we've been running a community advisory forum for several years.

A broad range of individuals from community interest groups attend our forums: residents, business owners, environmental leaders, employees, First Nations, local government and more. The group discusses issues related to our operations and offers input. This invaluable feedback helps us form our plans for the future.

The Powell River Division is awaiting a decision from the BC Ministry of the Environment regarding its completed application to expand its existing Wildwood landfill. Details with respect to the application, and the extensive public consultations conducted in connection with it, are available here.
