Charitable Giving

Offering financial and other kinds of community support is one of the key ways we work to keep Powell River strong.

We make many contributions to the community, including:

	Education scholarship — Each year, we offer six $1,000 scholarships to deserving local students. Applicants must be dependants of Catalyst employees or retirees or have graduated in Powell River. Applicants must plan to become full-time students at a technical institute, community college or accredited public university following high-school graduation.
	United Way — For many years, the division and its employees have been the largest contributors to the Powell River and District United Way. Thousands of dollars are donated to this community building organization year after year. Real Heroes work here!
