Snowflake
Snowflake is the newest addition to Catalyst's network of manufacturing facilities, having been acquired in April 2008. This energy self-sufficient operation produces 100% recycled newsprint, and represents about 40% of Catalyst's total newsprint capacity.
The Snowflake mill is located near the community of the same name, in northeast Arizona's Navajo County. With some 425 employees (including Apache Railway employees), the mill is among the most important employers in the local area. Snowflake has a strong track record of environmental innovation and active support for local schools and charities.
