Electrastar

Super high-brightness improved newsprint. Excellent opacity, super optical properties and it’s bulky, yet light. Electrastar is manufactured at our Powell River mill.

Electrasoft

Electrasoft is our soft-nip calendered grade. It continues to impress food, drug and specialty retailers and commercial printers for their insert and flyer requirements.

electracal

Supercalendered-B (SCB) grade. Increased levels of brightness and gloss ensure sharper, cleaner images for inserts and flyers. Manufactured at Powell River.

Electraprime

Specialty SCA alternative product. Exceptional print properties and runnability make it a great option for SC paper printers. Produced in Powell River.

Electrabrite

Specialty high-bright paper grade. Its high brightness, broad basis weights, and excellent printability and runnability make it the choice for special advertising sections and inserts.

Marathon

High-quality newsprint. The choice for leading newspapers across North America and around the world. Manufactured at our mills in both Arizona and BC.

Catalyst Directory

Directory paper grade. Catalyst Directory is recognized for excellent performance at low basis weights, and is used to produce telephone books, airline schedules and catalogues. Produced at the Port Alberni and Crofton mills.

Richmond, BC – Catalyst Paper (TSX:CTL) today announced that Richard Garneau, the company’s chief executive officer, will be leaving the company on April 28, 2010, following the company’s annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Garneau advised the Board of Directors today that for personal reasons he will be moving back to eastern Canada to be closer to his family.

Richmond, BC – Catalyst Paper Corporation (TSX:CTL) today announced that it has amended the terms of its private exchange offer and consent solicitation (the “Exchange Offer”) for its outstanding 8 5/8% Senior Notes due June 15, 2011 (the “Old Notes”).
 
As a result of this amendment, an amended and restated offering memorandum (the “Amended Offering Memorandum”), reflecting the terms of the amended Exchange Offer, will be made available to Eligible Holders (as defined below) as soon as possible.
