Elk Prime™

Elk Prime™ is an economical substitute for NBSK pulps in many end-use applications. A fully-bleached softwood kraft pulp, Elk Prime™ is manufactured from a blend of northern softwood shavings, pin chips, sawdust and long fibres.

Elk Prime™ exhibits high, unbeaten tensile strength, surpassing the majority of long-fibred kraft pulps. With its unique properties, Elk Prime™ also improves formation and refines easily.

In Europe, Asia and North America, our customers use our sawdust-based pulp to manufacture products such as tissue, paper toweling, wood-free printing and writing papers and specialty papers. We use our sawdust-based pulp to make our own kraft paper product, white top linerboard.
